Training has been going steady the past couple of weeks.
Upon returning from my friend Sean Maguires bachelor party in Phoenix I got into a rhythym on the bike.
San Diego bike trip aside I have logged the most miles in the past two weeks since owning a bicycle.
Biking up & around Bragg creek & all over the city I hope will have its awards. Getting comfortable with 100km+ rides 3-4 days a week now.
This is the first step for me in the big picture I'm trying to paint.
The 2010 Tour De France has begun. I am pumped that Lance Armstrong has stated he will get into triathlon in 2011. If thats the case & he qualifies for Kona next year or the year following I will have my flight accommodations booked far in advance to see the greatest athlete of all time tear it up in triathlon like the old days.
I doubt he is a huge favourite for this years Tour because of his age but for a recent dip into the past Dave Scott who won the Ironman World Championships 6 consecutive times came back at 40 years old after a long hiatus from the sport & placed a honourable 2nd place.
Wether the truth someehow unfolds in the future & reveals his drug use he will always remain a hero in my mind.
